About us

Engineered power for grids worldwide

Millenium — Shanghai Millenium Industry Co., Ltd. — builds transformers, switchgear, compact substations and battery storage systems for utility, industrial, commercial and renewable projects across more than 40 countries. The line reaches from 5 kVA distribution units to 31,500 kVA power transformers, and from 40 kWh storage cabinets to 10 MWh liquid-cooled containers, each engineered to IEC, ANSI/IEEE, GB or GOST and backed by ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certified production plus CE, UDEM and EAC approvals.

Every unit is made to order — to your grid, your site and your specification.

Factory & quality

The whole build happens inside our Shanghai plant

CNC copper winding, vacuum resin casting, vapour-phase drying, in-house sheet-metal work and powder coating, and separate assembly lines for transformers, switchgear, compact substations and storage systems.

  • Routine tests on every unit

Winding resistance, turns ratio, insulation resistance, no-load and load loss, applied and induced withstand voltage and partial discharge — before anything is crated.

  • Type tests on request

Temperature-rise and dielectric type tests where a project calls for them; storage systems add cell grading, BMS checks, leak tests and a full charge/discharge run.

  • Witness testing welcome

Customers and third-party inspectors are welcome at factory acceptance tests (FAT). Documentation packs and type-test reports are prepared on request.

  • Built for export

Shrink-wrapped, palletised or packed in fumigation-free wooden crates, with IEC, ANSI/IEEE, GB or GOST-compliant variants for every regulatory region.

Frequently asked questions

Buying from Millenium

Is Millenium a manufacturer or a trading company?

A manufacturer. Shanghai Millenium Industry Co., Ltd. winds, casts, tanks, wires and tests its transformers, switchgear, compact substations and energy storage systems in its own 25,000 m² plant in the Lin-gang Special Area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone, with more than 200 staff and over 30 design and test engineers.

Which standards and certifications do Millenium products carry?

Designs follow IEC 60076 and IEC 62271 as standard, with ANSI/IEEE, GB and GOST variants. Production is certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; products carry CE type approval (ECM), UDEM technical inspection attestation to EN 62271-1 and EN 60076-1, an EAC declaration of conformity and CQC approval.

What is the minimum order quantity?

One unit. Every product is built to order — a single 100 kVA transformer or a 10 MWh storage plant — and quoted individually.

What do you need to prepare a quotation?

Rated power, HV and LV voltages, frequency, standard (IEC, ANSI/IEEE or GOST), vector group or phase, quantity, site conditions and the destination port. A single-line diagram or an existing spec sheet is ideal; if details are missing, an engineer will ask.

How long does delivery take?

Typical lead times are 25–45 days for distribution transformers and switchgear, 45–75 days for power transformers and compact substations, and 45–90 days for energy storage systems, plus sea freight. Exact dates are confirmed with the quotation.

Can I witness the factory tests?

Yes. Customers and third-party inspectors (for example SGS, TÜV or Bureau Veritas) are welcome at factory acceptance tests; routine test reports and type-test reports are provided with the shipping documents.
